A couple of years ago, I was told about Checkpoint's Zone Alarm and I decided to install it on my computer that then. I found it very interesting since is a tool that really cuts completely all the communications between the computer and the internet. Nothing can send a single bit or receive one from the net without Zone Alarm's authorization. It can be customized to shut every program or socket which communicates with the internet. On newer versions Zonalarm includes an antivirus and personality protection tools. Those tools, integrate a shield that protects the computer completely from harmful attacks found on the net.

The newest version includes an antivirus, antispyware, antispam, protection against phishing and identity protection.

This program has many awards. it's new antivirus engine, detects and elimitates viruses with improved functions. The user can get a virus pattern update every hour.

The antispyware searches deeply at all levels and get rid of spywares in the PC.

Blocking frauds such as "phishing" and spam mails, is now more effective, because it blocks non wanted emails using the most modern techniques.

In a new feature, ZoneAlarm also protects personal data sorted on the PC with new identity protection services. This feature protects the identity on the internet and physical format.

It stops the pre-approved credit cards which financial data can be used for identity suplantation. (only in the US). It also detects robberies thanks it's new credit card surveillance system, which monitors the stolen card numbers.

These features and many others such as Security Server, Stealth Mode, SmartDefense, DefenseNet, among others, make this software a very complete guarding tool for PCs.
